Awareness is Power."

On Sunday, in honor of World Abdominal Cancer Day, run and walk events were organized in the cities of Gurgaon, Bahadurgarh, and Delhi. These activities aimed to promote health awareness among residents and raise awareness about cancer by participating in walking and other sports activities. Dr. Kiran provided information, stating that five years ago, the ABCD team, in collaboration with IIEMR, established Abdominal Cancer Day to increase awareness.

It is noteworthy that this disease is spreading rapidly among people aged 20 to 50. If not addressed promptly, it can reach an advanced stage quickly. Symptoms such as abdominal pain, fever, abdominal swelling, and bleeding from the mouth should not be ignored. If these symptoms do not improve within two to three weeks of treatment, it could be an indication of cancer, and a specialist should be consulted.

Dr. Imroz from BRG mentioned that 80 to 90% of cancer cases are due to an unhealthy lifestyle, affecting even younger individuals. He noted that 60 to 70% of people reach doctors at an advanced stage of cancer, making continuous awareness efforts essential.

In India, this event was organized in cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bahadurgarh, Jodhpur, Nagpur, and Bhavnagar, as well as internationally in cities like London and New York, totaling 26 cities.

Dr. Kiran from BRG was appointed as the ambassador for Gurgaon. In Gurgaon, Dr. Kiran conducted this campaign at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in collaboration with BRG, Foulad Gym, and RAA Sector 39. In Bahadurgarh, Deepak organized the campaign at BRG Point.

Dr. Vikas Singla, a specialist from Medanta Hospital, was invited as the chief guest in Gurgaon. Dr. Singla raised awareness among the public and emphasized the slogan "Awareness is Power."
