Ever since she was a young girl, Jyoti Seth held on tight to a dreamy notion. Her vision included a well-lit stage, the perfect shoes, and the perfect dress. She was intent on becoming a dancer and a model and wished to participate in events and competitions all across the country. Despite the inevitable roadblocks, Jyoti had a wonderful childhood, filled with cherished memories thanks to her supportive parents.



Jyoti feels blessed to have a loving and supportive family. Her parents were her initial pillars of support, giving wings to her dreams. However, societal expectations often stood in the way of her aspirations. Transitioning from a homemaker to pursuing her passions was not easy. Her unwavering belief that "one should wear their confidence on their sleeve to grow in life" kept her going. Her husband and children also played a crucial role in supporting her. Jyoti's husband, in particular, stood by her through every step, inspiring and motivating her to pursue her childhood dreams.



Jyoti completed her schooling, college, and post-graduation in her hometown of Jammu, J&K. Besides her achievements in the fashion industry, she is an entrepreneur and social activist, running an educational institute. Her love for education and a desire for progressive change in female empowerment and gender equality drove her towards teaching. Once an introverted child, Jyoti's confidence grew over time, thanks to her husband and parents/parents-in-law. Today, she is a known face in local fashion circles, participating in fashion shows and product shoots. For Jyoti, the journey is more beautiful than the destination, and she enjoys every moment of her lifelong experiences.

"Life is a beautiful journey meant to be embraced to the fullest every day," Jyoti believes. She aspires to achieve significant milestones and create a lasting name for herself. "I want to keep on educating myself and acquire as many skills as possible in a lifetime," she says. Fascinated by cooking, she plans to pursue a certified cooking course and open her own chain of Food Zones. Jyoti also dedicates her time and efforts to helping the needy, supporting several NGOs as a volunteer, and participating as a show-stopper for charity initiatives.



Jyoti encourages the youth to actively participate in nation-building and explore their inner selves. "Identify your aspirations and channelize all your energy to chase dreams. Ups and downs are part of the journey. Stay focused, keep walking, and success shall follow," she advises. She emphasizes the importance of realizing one's duty towards society and believes in empowering the youth to become the backbone of the country.



For Jyoti, the motto of life is to make people believe that women are no less than men in any criterion and to encourage individuals to showcase their hidden talents. "We may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated," she asserts. Jyoti acknowledges the challenges women face in making independent decisions but credits her upbringing for instilling confidence in her. She aims to empower every woman to become self-reliant and self-sustainable, especially in rural areas.


With unwavering support from her evergreen friends, her husband Gaurav Seth, her children Daksh and Aayra, and her parents-in-law, especially her father-in-law Anil Seth, Jyoti has achieved remarkable success. Her journey from a small-town girl with big dreams to a celebrated fashion icon and social activist is a testament to her resilience, passion, and dedication.
