Shammi choudhary is a founding member of Abhinaya Kala Mandir (Reg.), a prestigious cultural organization in Pathankot established in 1979. This premier institution is renowned as a nurturing ground for artists at the national level, and Shammi takes immense pride in its achievements. One of Abhinaye Kala Mandir's notable initiatives is the R.D. Burman Award-Pancham Samman, an annual accolade presented to luminaries in the field of music. Esteemed artists such as Mohammed Vakil, Wadali Brothers, Master Saleem, Ahmed Hussain and Mohammad Hussain, Chandan Dass, and playback singer Bhupinder Singh have been honored with this prestigious award.


Shammi's spirit is also captivated by the allure of the mountains, where he finds both solace and adventure. He has embarked on memorable treks in the hills of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh, immersing himself in the breathtaking beauty of nature. His photographs have been showcased at Doordarshan Kendra in Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Shimla, and various government offices, highlighting his artistic talent. He has also contributed his skills by designing and photographing the cover page of the history of Pathankot, authored by Sh. B.R. Kapur. Additionally, Shammi has played a crucial role in creating the annual magazine of Govt. College Dharamshala, named Bhagsu.


His commitment to philanthropy is evident through his involvement with the Jagriti Foundation Charitable Trust, where he serves as a trustee. His dedication to social causes and community welfare dates back to 1979 when he first became a social activist. Shammi's outstanding contributions were recognized with the Governor Award for Social Work in 2022. Furthermore, he graces the Jaspal Bhatti ceremony as the chief guest every year, paying tribute to the legendary comedian.

Shammi Choudhary is a trustee of the Jagriti Foundation Charitable Trust, an organization dedicated to improving education and health outcomes for underprivileged communities. Through the foundation, Mr. Choudhary provides financial assistance to children who cannot afford an education, ensuring they have the opportunity to learn and grow. Additionally, he has played a vital role in helping families in remote areas build homes, offering support to those who lack the means to secure proper housing.


The impactful work of the Jagriti Foundation Charitable Trust in education and health has been recognized by the Government of Himachal Pradesh, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, the Governor of Punjab, and the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. This recognition is a testament to the foundation's commitment to uplifting communities and improving lives.


Shammi Choudhary's endeavors extend beyond borders as he works to foster friendly relationships between India and Pakistan through initiatives such as "Naseebo and Romy Ranjan for Pakistan and India's Relationship with Song Bhaichara." Furthermore, he is a music producer who actively supports and nurtures newcomers in the industry. Notable singers such as Suresh Wadkar, Ghanshyam Vaswani, Ashok Masti, Ranjan Romy, Kuldeep Jaggi, and Balbir Beera have had the privilege of working under his guidance. He also introduced Milind Gaba to the world. His latest production, "Mainu Vida Karo Mere Ram," is receiving positive responses from the audience, showcasing his dedication to promoting meaningful music.


Shammi has also made significant contributions to the world of cinema. He played an integral role in the making of the movie "Stupid Seven" and worked on the critically acclaimed film "Mission Performance," which was India's submission for the Oscar Awards. Furthermore, he has showcased his talent as an actor, featuring in "Mission Performance" (qualified for Oscar and Emmys) and "Chinnaron ke Saaye." His versatility and passion for the arts have led him to work on the Delhi Doordarshan serial "Chinnaron ke Saaye."
